Douglas Anderson School of the Arts
Consideration for admission to Douglas Anderson is obtained only through an audition. The Magnet Programs Office does not receive applications for this school. Click here to view the audition schedule.
LaVilla School of the Arts
Students with advanced training in the arts may receive a priority for admission to LaVilla through an audition. Audition dates are listed with other information about the school here. All students who audition must also submit a magnet application to the Magnet Programs Office by the February 29 deadline in order to be considered for admission. All applications for LaVilla, including successful auditions, are processed through the Magnet Lottery.
Inspirations Village
Students who live within the attendance area of John E. Ford, Brentwood, Andrew Robinson and R. L. Brown live in what is known as the "Inspirations Village." This means that you may select any of these four (4) schools as your neighborhood school by filling out a magnet application and submitting it to the Magnet Programs Office by the February 29, 2012 deadline. After that date, students will be assigned to a school based on their residential address. The only exception is for students who move into the John E. Ford attendance area in grades 2-5. Since the magnet programs at John E. Ford do not take in new students after first grade, students will be assigned to one of the other three schools.
Students who live in the "Inspirations Village" may also apply to any other magnet school in the District. The application deadline is February 29, 2012.
