The Opportunity Scholarship Program allows students who live in the attendance area of a school designated by the State of Florida as a failing school to transfer to a higher-performing public school (i.e., a school receiving a "C" grade or better). An eligible school is a school that is designated by the Florida Department of Education as having received three (3) consecutive performance grades of "D" (that is, for 2010, 2011, and 2012) or a performance grade of "F" for 2012.
The application period for the 2012-2013 Opportunity Scholarship Program has passed.
