College Preparatory Medical Arts

star

The Medical Arts program offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum integrated with professional medical standards throughout the entire school. The curriculum offers only advanced and gifted classes. All middle school students must take a dedicated medical elective each year of the program. The curriculum is designed to offer students the opportunity to learn collaboratively and experientially and to apply their learning to real-life situations. They are given multiple opportunities to participate in academically related field trips exposing them to the world of professional medicine.

Utilization of Magnet Schools
The school district strives to have the utilization of all schools between 85% and 105% of their current capacity. The 2011-2012 Utilization of each magnet school helps determine the number of new magnet openings a school may offer for the 2012-2013 magnet lottery.
