Gifted and Academically Talented Medical Arts
The Medical Arts program offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum infusing the medical theme into the core curriculum. Students are enrolled in advanced and/or gifted classes in addition to the medical elective course. Opportunities for hands-on learning experiences, guest speakers, and academically-related field trips enhance student understanding of the broad field of the medical arts.

College Preparatory
The College Preparatory program prepares students for tomorrow by offering challenging academics and creative learning experiences, by promoting individual growth in a cooperative environment, and by fostering a commitment to school and community. Advanced and gifted classes in the core academic subjects prepare students to excel in a rigorous high school program of study. Students gain a holistic experience through participation in a variety of extracurricular academic and athletic activities.

Tours: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m., beginning January 12 through February 25 (with the exception of February 9 and 11 due to FCAT Writes)
Open House: Academically Talented Open House, January 12 at 6:30 p.m. and Gifted Open House on January 19 at 6:30 p.m.
Special Information: Principal or designee signature is given after a tour or open house. Primary point of entry is 6th grade. Spaces for 7th and 8th grade depend on attrition. Students not "staffed" as gifted may apply for the Academically Talented program. Students may only apply for one program. Before and after school "Enrichment" program is available. This is a fee-based extended day program. TEAM UP available after school.

Gifted and Academically Talented Leadership Development
The College Preparatory and Leadership Development program challenges students academically through a rigorous program of study designed to help prepare tomorrow's leaders to be competitive in the ever-changing global community. Students will be scheduled in gifted or advanced core classes. In addition to the core course offerings, an emphasis is placed on leadership development through grade-specific leadership electives. The culmination of each student's middle school experience is participation in the 8th grade leadership symposium.
