To prepare students for college preparatory courses at the high school level, Kirby-Smith Middle School offers advanced, gifted and standard classes in core academic areas. This program is designed to meet the needs of highly talented students who plan to continue their education in the fields of science, mathematics, computer science, technology or engineering. Special advanced and gifted team electives may include astronomy, forensics, logic, advanced genetics, geometry, and chemistry as well as the school's normally offered electives, robotics, video game design, computer applications, engineering, technology, TV production, art and technology studies (computer aided design) and digital photography. Kirby-Smith also offers gifted math, science and technology as separate programs.

Tours: Every Thursday at 7:45 a.m., from January 8 through February 26
Open House: Sunday, February 8, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Special Information: TEAM UP and Extended Day available. Main entry point is grade 6.
There are limited openings for grades 7 and 8.
