The Aviation and Military Sciences Academy is designed to prepare students for future endeavors, developing their interest in aviation with interactive learning through elective classes, after-school activities and summer camps. The aviation and military sciences theme is integrated into the core middle-school curriculum. An aviation ground school elective puts students in the cockpit of on-site flight simulators.
Utilization of Magnet Schools
The school district strives to have the utilization of all schools between 85% and 105% of their current capacity. The 2011-2012 Utilization of each magnet school helps determine the number of new magnet openings a school may offer for the 2012-2013 magnet lottery.

An Inspirations Magnet School
Tours: January 11 and 25 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., January 26 and February 23 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., February 8 and 22 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and February 6 from Noon – 2:00 p.m.

Leadership and character building is reinforced through the Pre-Collegiate community, elective classes, after-school activities, and summer bridge programs. The aviation and military science theme is integrated throughout the academic curriculum. An aviation ground school elective puts students in the cockpit of on-site flight simulators while learning the principles of flight. The program exposes students to an intensive physical training program that includes an obstacle course and an inside rock climbing wall.
