Utilization of Magnet Schools
The school district strives to have the utilization of all schools between 85% and 105% of their current capacity. The 2011-2012 Utilization of each magnet school helps determine the number of new magnet openings a school may offer for the 2012-2013 magnet lottery.

Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps
The Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) is designed to build better and more productive citizens, strengthen character, teach responsibility and acquaint cadets with the aerospace age. The program is grounded in the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all they do. Students are prepared for college entrance and are provided information on careers and life after high school. Upon completion, students are under no obligation to enlist in the armed forces.

Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps
The Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (MCJROTC) takes a military preparatory school approach to learning. The primary focus is developing good citizens and preparing them for further education. The program stresses academic excellence, respect for authority, developing self-esteem, accountability, and leadership. It promotes citizenship, discipline, patriotism and a strong work ethic.Students explore career opportunities offered by the various Armed Forces branches with extensive emphasis on preparation and opportunities for entry into institutions of higher learning. No military obligation is required to be a part of this program.
