Utilization of Magnet Schools
The school district strives to have the utilization of all schools between 85% and 105% of their current capacity. The 2011-2012 Utilization of each magnet school helps determine the number of new magnet openings a school may offer for the 2012-2013 magnet lottery.
Medical Arts
The Medical Arts program offers a rigorous academic curriculum integrating professional medical standards throughout. Our school uses a cohort model of small grade-level groups. This environment offers students the opportunity to share collectively and to build relationships with all members of their cohort and their teachers. Our curriculum is an Advanced Placement Honors program offering a minimum of nine AP courses in all core academic areas with an emphasis in science. Students are academically prepared for a collegiate path to graduate studies in the various fields of professional medicine.
