Accountability, civic responsibility, discipline, leadership, respect for authority-skills and characteristics cadets will gain at North Florida's only Marine Corps Junior ROTC magnet program. Our program fosters a disciplined learning environment where cadets are exposed to leadership education, a college preparatory curriculum and aviation instruction. The primary focus of our Marine Corps Junior ROTC is developing good citizens and preparing them for further education. Cadets will take the path to excellence, with the program employing a military preparatory school approach to learning that will prepare them for the work force, college and life. A world of opportunities will be exposed to cadets, as they will learn about armed forces career opportunities, prepare for entry into higher learning institutions through a rigorous curriculum, as well as develop and enhance their leadership skills by participating in various Marine Corps Junior ROTC activities. Also, cadets with an interest in aviation will gain hands-on experience using our state-of-the art flight simulators. As you can see, our program is preparing cadets for a world of opportunities. Those who successfully complete three credits are eligible to enter the armed forces at up to two pay grades higher than other enlistees. Plus, cadets who complete the program may be eligible for advanced status in college ROTC.
