The high school visual and performing arts program is located at a state-of-the-art campus where each graduating class consistently accrues millions of dollars in scholarships to colleges, universities and conservatories for their achievements both in the arts and academics. Unique and intensive arts programs include majors in creative writing, dance, film, guitar, instrumental music, performance theater, piano, technical theater, visual arts and vocal music. These are combined with rigorous academic courses to provide students the opportunity to receive a top-notch education. A successful audition is required for acceptance to this nationally recognized, award-winning high school.
Utilization of Magnet Schools
The school district strives to have the utilization of all schools between 85% and 105% of their current capacity. The 2011-2012 Utilization of each magnet school helps determine the number of new magnet openings a school may offer for the 2012-2013 magnet lottery.
