Mission: MYcroSchool will provide a high school drop-out recovery program serving students who have previously dropped out of school or who are current 11th or 12th graders at risk of not graduating with their class. MYcroSchool Jacksonville views all at-risk students as “at promise” and will provide these students with the opportunity to re-enter the Florida public educational setting and to find success in earning a high school diploma.
Special Information: The “micro-high school” setting will be designed to replicate the work place or a college learning lab in a high-tech, high-touch small learning environment with a focus on rigor, relevance and relationships. The school day will have two sessions: morning and afternoon. Each student will have an individualized learning plan. Instruction and credits are based on mastery of competencies rather than seat time.
