Duval Virtual Instruction Academy offers full-time instruction in Kindergarten-12th grades and is a Duval County Public Schools school choice option. Parents may apply at www.duvalschools.org/duvalvirtual in February 2012 for priority enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year and between June 15-August 15 for late enrollment. Part-time enrollment is also possible and can be arranged with the guidance counselor at their current school. Students must have access to a computer, reliable Internet and a printer. We create a wonderful blend of all stakeholders who are passionate about student success. If you are looking for a virtual education opportunity, sponsored by the district, meeting the whole child’s academic and social needs, combined with highly qualified teachers, counselor support, partnership with the family, and ultimately a diploma, we are an option for you.

Our middle school department serves students in sixth through eighth grades in a virtual environment. This is a great option for middle school parents who are looking for alternative choices to the traditional middle school day. This program allows the pre-teen to teenager to develop skills in responsibility, organization, and intrinsic motivation. However, this age group still needs day-to-day parental guidance and involvement. If you have a child who wants to get ahead, or needs to catch up, we can offer some high school credit courses depending on individual needs.

DVIA Part-time provides blended learning opportunities that occur in partnership with the traditional school. We combine online learning within a traditional face-to-face school day. The collaboration of learning is enhanced by using a virtual learning environment, digital tools, and on-going communication between the students, parents, academic mentor, and teacher. Part-time e-learning opportunities are available for grades 4-12 depending on the courses offered at the school of assignment and the child’s academic abilities and needs.
